Vertical Ventures Inc was founded in 2012 by Darrell "Jamie" Dow, who still leads every project personally as President. The company began under the banner of "real estate redevelopment" — a deliberate choice of words. Rather than positioning as a volume home builder, Vertical Ventures has stayed focused on taking existing properties, additions, and custom builds and doing the work at a level that holds up to close inspection: architects and engineers coordinated from day one, finishes chosen to match the character of the home, and one person accountable for the outcome.
"Lifting properties, elevating standards."
That phrase has been the company's guiding line since the beginning, and it still describes the job: most of what Vertical Ventures builds isn't a spec house — it's a kitchen, an addition, a whole floor plan, or an outdoor structure built around how a specific family actually uses their home.
